STUDENT REPORTER, THE CRESCENT  (SEPT. 2019 – PRESENT)

GEORGE FOX UNIVERSITY, NEWBERG, OR.

*Wrote two 500-1000 word articles every two weeks in AP style

*Participated in weekly staff meetings and shared pitches for potential articles

*Interviewed both faculty and students, both in-person and remotely

*Helped distribute the biweekly issue across campus buildings

Project Experience

Professional Writing – Proposal  (Spring 2019)

*Communicated with Plant Services at George Fox University about campus lighting

*Researched potential cost and timeline of implementing additional lighting

*Assimilated information into formal proposal and PowerPoint presentation

 

Technical Writing – Formal Report  (Fall 2019)

*Interviewed multiple faculty members about reading lists used in campus classes and the diversity of said reading lists

*Turned in project proposal and progress report along with formal report
